Wonderful Finnley!
Guinness is the happiest dog I've ever met...he does "dance through life". He wakes up so happy with big kisses and a wagging tail and he's like that the rest of the day. I think the best thing about Murph is his loyalty. I'm his "Mom" and I know he feels okay as long as he's near me. Sometimes he'll lay by my side while I'm on the computer and just stare at me. He's not sleeping...just staring. Our bond is special.
Your two are wonderful companions. So happy you have Murphy by your side.
Thanks, Bonnie....you are so sweet.
Lovely sentiment Jane.
Owen is especially good at gardening. Last Monday I sent my DH an email thanking him for doing such a great job getting the weeds out of the flower bed above a stone wall in our back yard. I noticed it was fresh dirt and no weeds in sight from the back door of the house. He responded that I should thank Owen. I thought he misunderstood what I was talking about so tried to better explain my gratitude for his yard work. His next message said, "Owen's carpet bombing". Confused I went into the yard and took a closer look. Owen has been digging holes and the debris has covered all the weeds so that the bed looks like it has been cultivated... NOT. (Good at gardening, if you don't mind him pulling rose bushes out by the roots, chewing the blueberry bushes and demolishing the whole raspberry patch.)
Bonnie on June 10, 2011 when we got Libby we had a very nice backyard with lots of plants, shrubs, and flowers. Well within six months almost ALL were gone. We only have six Agapantha's left. She would even go for the Rose Bushes with big thorns, so "we" took those out to save her from getting hurt. She literally destroyed our back yard. We are leaving our yard very bare until this little (well actually I think she is a teenager now) girl decides to leave the landscaping alone, which might be never. Guess what? That's ok too, because she is our heart and soul and a yard is just a yard. A Doodle is precious:)
I should have added that next to gardening, Owen is excellent at making us laugh!
I do miss the raspberries though. It's like tomatoes... none in the store are quite the same.
Bailey loves everyone unconditionally. She has never met a person she doesn't like! She just loves life and is so happy-go-lucky!
Kona is the most gentile dog we have ever owned. His manners are impeccable and it's not that he was so perfectly trained. He just came that way. As a puppy he never jumped or barked or got wild, no barking or biting either (still doesn't). He just takes life at a measured pace (unless he's at the beach and then he is crazy-happy to fetch out of the ocean). He's so quiet we can't hear him walk up the hardwood stairs and down the hall. We are truly blessed by this gentile giant.
LUCKY!!!
Don't we know it. He is incredible.
