OK, I know many of you spoil your Doodles (like I do mine) and this Christmas will be no exception!
I thought it might be fun to see what other doodles are getting for the holidays and maybe
even get some gift ideas.

*So Far*, I am getting my doodle:
Kong Squeaky Tennis Balls
Hide A Squirrel Jumbo
Liver Biscotti Treats
Bully Sticks
kong tennis balls
hide-a-squirrel
bully sticks

My doodles are getting a warm bed, full tummy and lots of love......and, maybe a stocking FULL of goodies.....
So far, I have a Go Dog dragon for Halas. I'll probably also get him some bully sticks or other chew treats, new tennis balls, and maybe that hide-a-squirrel thing. His grandma will also make him lots of homemade doggy treats.
My doodles are treated like part of the family, so they will each get their own stockings, prolly toys, bones and stuff in them, and they will both get 1 big gift.. which I am guessing will be some nice dog beds..
Ned will get to survive another day, but only if he is lucky! Actually he would love the squirrel toy. We have a stuffed jack-o-lantern with a ghost inside the open mouth. He loves to pull it out. Sometimes I put bones or other treats in it. He and the rest of the pack including the "cousins," will be getting many "out of season" toys purchased cheaply after a holiday. They will also get a bone with peanut butter - size depends upon the dog's size. They will also get a grooming so they smell "purty" for extra cuddles.
Nancy - I sense that Ned is acting a little like Toby is acting!
I think Toby will get some stuffed cow hooves, possibly a new bully stick, and maybe a Kong stuffed toy. He seems to like snuggly things. But Santa only comes to good little dogs, so we'll see how it pans out. :)
For those who like the "hide-a-squirrel", this is similar, much harder for the doodles to tear, and gives you some soft balls that they can play fetch with indoors without doing much damage! Jackdoodle's
favorite toy, by far!

Where did you get the hide a squirrel from?
Karen and Jack sent me a to a website. I ended up choosing a box with slits that balls fit in. I think it is what Karen has for Jack. It was a little cheaper than the squirrel and it seemed a little more work might be required to get the balls out.
dogtoys.com also has birds and bees in similar boxes. Jack and Ginger are getting those for Xmas. Cody is getting Cuz balls. They will also get stocking stuffers of bully stix and chicken jerkys. I think I will order the balls in a box too, thanks Karen.
The box is a stiff, flat "felt" type of material that the dogs don't seem to want to chew like they do the plush stuff, and it holds up very well, also machine washable. The balls do squeak, are also machine-washable, and if you play fetch indoors & the ball hits something, they are so soft & light they won't break anything or leave a mark on your wall. If you have a big "chewer" it may be possible to tear one of the balls; Jack's schnauzer-mix friend across the street did, but Jack never has. The squirrel tree was torn within days of getting it. (the small one) And the balls are a little harder to get out of the box than the squirrels, but even my not-so-bright doodle gets them out pretty quick. He will carry the box to me to put the balls back in, lol! It comes in 3 sizes, and we have the middle size, box is 6" square.
www.Petguys.com has both the Hide-A-Squirrel Jumbo ($10.79) and the Iqube Jumbo($8.49).
They offer a lot of popular dog products at good prices. However, you have to take into consideration/compare shipping prices too with your other favorite sites. It's a really good place to buy from if you are purchasing multiple things.
Yes, I noticed that too...the places with the lower prices often make it up in shipping fees.
