Trav is an urban dog, so doesn't encounter many dead things that might trigger his 'roll in it' instinct. The few dead birds, rodents or fish we've found haven't appealed to him. He'll sniff the corpse, then seem to shrug and move on.
Tonight he found something that triggered the instinct. I gave him a Cod Liver Oil softgel, and after picking it up, dropping it, nosing it around for a while, he started to lie down and roll on it! Yikes! This is human grade stuff! LOL
What has your doodle found worthy of rolling on or in?

I picked it up and put it in the branches of a tree that was eye level, Joanna.
Yuck ! Definitely NOT a deer, LOL. I thinking that was a coyote, or here's a thought, maybe it's the elusive "chupacabra!"
Sheila, love that chupacabra idea! I'll be looking for Linda on one those 'finding the monster' programs. :) I was thinking maybe coyote too, but our necro-sleuths have decided on possum.
I have done my research. Opposums have more teeth than any other mammal. Namely fifty with many incisors. Here is the straight poop:

I think this is a possum.
Oh shoot, well OK, if you all want it to be an Opposum, it's an opossum ! It was such a close up picture that it looked big, like a coyote.... or chupacabra ! :) We don't have any possum's up here, so I definitely wouldn't have thought of them. :)
Why not? We have them in NJ all the time.
OK you must have opposums or this company is in big trouble. Maybe the possums just don't like you, lucky.
Ha ha F, looks like that company is in BIG trouble ! Nope, we do not have possums up here.
We have mice, rats, squirrel's. muskrats, beaver's, fisher's, ermine-weasel's, raccoon's,.... well you get the idea, but absolutely, positively NO opossum ! :)
Maybe you could send one of those Jersey variety's up this way !? :)
So pretty, that would make great bookend but I'd be afraid the dogs would knock the bookcase down.
Charli, my back doodle, loves to roll in fish carcasses and fish heads when soaking wet and then in the sand to cement it into her skin! The dog beach we go to is the channel that the fishing boats go through and they clean their fish on the way back to their dock. It's very hard to drive and hour+ with that stench. I even looked for a self doggie wash but so far no one has opened one near the beach.
My deepest sympathies, Adrianne! Think I might consider a little shove into the surf for my doodle. lol
Something really stinky caught in kelp. One bath did not fix the problem
