Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Out of my two girls, Meg is my shedder.  We are waiting for it to be an Olympic event because we are confidant that she will take the gold.  Pictured here is one of two times a week we use the furminator, on the other days we use a rake and take a couple handfuls out PLUS my Roomba takes half the amount pictured off the two carpeted floors, every-single-day!  Whew, who new doodles could shed, right? Meg falls out to the labby side and I am sure that is the biggest problem.  However we love her to pieces so we gather all that up and throw it in the yard, ( a lot has blown into their yard in this picture) it takes less than 15 minutes for the birds to gather it up for nesting.  We are pretty sure the baby birds will be following Meg around once they leave the nest.

I love it already.  And, I did put Haley's hair from the vacuuming out for the birds.

I got the most wonderful thing in the mail today. Its called a King Komb and its a de-shedding comb. My (shedding) girls seem to love it! Pippa never really likes to be brushed like Lucy does but I took her outside to try the brush out and she just enjoyed it so much she rolled over on her back, paws in the air and patiently waiting for me to do her belly. Lyla, my daughters Golden, stood patiently while I gave her a thorough brushing and she never does that. She always tries to get away. I have the Furminator but for some reason, this one is a bit gentler and (according to the box) feels like a gentle massage. Of course this time I left all the hair in the yard for the birds! Just thought I would share: https://kingkanine.com/products/king-komb

Thanks for posting that, it looks pretty interesting.  That will probably be my next purchase.

I think you will like it if you have a shedder!
