So Ace is in a cone collar and cannot be crated when my husband and kids leave in a little bit for work and school. I get home from work at 9:20, so Ace will be free roaming for about an hour and 20 minutes. He'll probably not be up to doing anything mischievous because of the cone, but it's the first time he have free roam alone. I'm more worried about how he'll do alone with the health issues he's been having.

Can't wait until 9:20. So nervous!!!!!

I hope he'll be fine.

I hope everything is fine.

How'd he do?
Is his crate too small for the cone?

fingers crossed all is okay

He was great. When I came in, he was asleep on the sofa, cuddled up with a blanket. The house was in tact. He has an extra long cone so that he cannot reach his paw. It's really clunky.

He could fit in the crate with the cone, but he really wouldn't be able to turn or adjust, stand or sit in there. It just doesn't seem like it would be comfortable.
Awwww, good boy, Ace!

Good boy Ace!  When you initially posted, I would have bet that he would be sleeping when you returned and was so glad to hear that he was so good.

So glad to hear this!

Good boy!! Curious- why is he wearing a cone?

Hi Lori. If you follow the link above, it should take you to my discussion in the Health and Medical Issues group.

I saw the initial post, but then missed the whole story about his paw. Awww- poor little dude! I'm glad he's doing OK....

Thanks so much. feel so bad for him. I just cannot wait until he is all better.
