When will he start to look like a goldendoodle?

My puppy just turned 7 weeks old yesterday.  Everyone thinks he's a golden retriever, and we're a little afraid he will look like one when he is older instead of a goldendoodle.  His mom is 3/4 poodle and 1/4 golden retriever, and his dad is full blooded golden retriever.  Is there a possibility that he will always look like a golden retriever? I know that it's a little too soon to tell because he just has puppy fur.  When do you think he will start (or if at all) to get wavy or curly fur?

This is the day after Rua came home - almost 9 weeks

 

Here is Rua at 6 months.

 

Here is my Doodly little princess 5/21/11 at almost 10 months!

 

Rua is an F1B, so her mom was a miniature goldendoodle, bred back to a miniature poodle.  Her ear flaps and tail are thin and retreivery...the coat along her back is fluff...hardly any wave to it.  She looks huge around her body...but she is all fluff.  She had a puppy trim 5 months ago...I have her scheduled to get groomed on July 5th...I love her fluff, but time to shape it up some.

 

So...it takes a while to see what happens.  Your puppy is just so cute...love the expression in the second picture.

He's got the wavy ears-Huff didn't really have even waves and look at him now! Time will tell.

He is an adorable puppy!  We have an F1 doodle with straight hair, so even the doodley ones aren't always curly.  He really is cute!

To me he looks doodley as well!! Look at his ears - they give it all away :) Don't worry...even if he does look golden retriever-ish when he grows up, he'll have all the signs of a doodle....I'm sure his legs will get really long, he'll have a great sweepy tail, floppy ears, and the unmistakable doodle personality. He's such a cutie!
