I'm so undecided between the green or purple OR go with a duo? Attaching pics of Jack and his little sister. Advice please? I would like to be able to use it on both. If I like them I could get a second later but which would be good to start?

Email Kemp at the Doodle Country Store at kemp@doodlecountry.com and send me photos of your puppies and he will tell you which brush will be the best for you.  You can order them from him as I believe he has them back in stock now.

I think green is less stiff and more versatile. My purple is a double and I can only use it on Calla's back.

My two boys have different coats and the green duo which I have had for over four years is in perfect condition, works on both of them and is in use every day.

I agree with the green brush being good for two different dogs and coat types. Murphy is why Kemp originally recommended that brush 7 years ago, he has fine thin hair that does not shed. Bella now has thick, coarser, slightly shedding hair and I use the same brush for both of them. BTW: That brush is totally worth every penny!!!

I bought my brushes when they were under the name Les Pooches.  I originally bought a single yellow which was for the puppy stage, and then as the permanent coat started to come in I bought the red double and then the purple double.  I recently bought a single activet which is purple on one side and red (for dematting) on the other, but I seldom use it.  My go to brushes on a regular basis are still the single puppy and the red double - my doodles are 4.5 and 3.  Charlie has a very thick coat and tail and Beau has what I think is the perfect coat - not think and seldom gets any mats!  Kemp at Doodle Country Store (link under the preferred vendor tab) will be a big help.

I would use a single rather than a double - easier on the wrist.

I got a single duo green/gold! It will be here tomorrow! Thanks everyone for the advise!

I bought mine years ago under the brand name of Les Pooches. I have a double green Pro Brush and the red-handled Matt Zapper. I use both brushes on both of my dogs. The Matt Zapper is amazing on getting out matts, and the other brush is a terrific overall brush. Between those two and a steel comb, I can tackle just about anything!

We got our green duo and Jack LOVES IT!!!!
