Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

This morning while I was drinking my first cup of coffee and reading our local paper, I looked over and saw this...What, Mom??

Does anyone else have a doodle that eats this like?

If so, do you have any pics that you would like to share?

I have never seen him do this and think he looks so goofy! Maybe it's a sign that he really likes his food or maybe he just wanted to start my day off with a laugh! If that's why he did it, it worked!!

If you're not laughing yet, what about this?

Have a great day! I sure intend to as I celebrate 6 years today as a breast cancer survivor!  Wahoo!!!

Congratulations on your sixth anniversary - truly wonderful!

Your post gave me chuckle.

We had a standard poodle who seemed to have fewer digestive issues if his food was raised.  So I have just continued that with Charlie even though he doesn't seem to have any issues with eating.  Both his water and food are about 10 inches off the floor. Knox is very smart, he gets comfortable and digs right in.  Way to go Knox!  By the way, I love your photos.

Thank you, Linda! Glad you chuckled too!
I've been having a party in my head all day, lol!

oh knox lol. He's a goof. Congrats Doris! What a big day!

He is a goof --- a big one! Thanks, Rachel! Hugs to Ollie!!
Rufus eats lying down on occasion as well. I had never seen a dog do that outside of a crate before either.
Congrats on 6 years!
Thanks so much!!!

Check out this guy.  Usually Duke lays down and eats, almost always has and Sheba has followed his lead.  Duke has no problem trying out new positions while eating.  This was while we were tent camping last summer.  He would always sneak up on my cot when I left the tent and DH would let him.  They got REALLY dirty with all of the hiking and playing in water, dirt, sand etc.  I wanted my sleeping bag to stay nice and clean, that's why I got a cot to put it on. I now know I could have saved the $ and thrown it on the floor of the tent so Duke and Sheba could make themselves at home on my nice clean sleepingbag.  lol  Decided to payback DH.  I made sure both dogs were up on his cot in the middle of the night when he went to go to the bathroom AND called them up on his cot when they were wet.  He didn't get too upset, darn it!

Boy, did I veer off the subject!  Sorry.  Duke was either too lazy to get out of bed to eat breakfast or he didn't want to lose his spot on my now dirty sleepingbag.  Knowing Duke, I think he was too lazy to get out of bed.  lol   Sorry the photos aren't too clear, I took them with my cell phone.

You camp with rugs? Wow, fancy. And Duke wins for most uncomfortable eating position.

No fanciness here.  I keep the rugs in the back of the car all the time to cover the carpet where the dogs are so it keeps it clean.  When we camp I just put the old rugs in the walk way between our cots to collect dirt, and give the dogs a carpet to sleep on when they aren't on our cots. : ) It also protects the tent floor from their nails.  Then I just pick them up, shake them out and throw them in the back of the car for the next day.  It makes it a lot easier to clean the floor of the tent too when we tear it down.

Duke is something else.  I just haven't figured what yet.  He's quite the card and life is never dull with his antics.  Do you remember any other dogs getting up on the benches to sit with the people at the romp in NJ?  He just made himself at home.

I remember : )

Love it!  He must like to be at eye level!  Mr. Social, lol!
