Why are some people so rude ????

Since the weather was so nice for March in NW Indiana yesterday (yeah), I decided to take Chewie for a walk on a walking path.  On the mile and a half path I lost count of all the the dog poop that some owners did NOT clean up.  It was disgusting.  I spent most of the time saying "No" and "Leave It".   Not sure why some people do not clean up after their dogs ??  Please remember to carry your bags with you when you go for walks.  Thanks !!

You know, I've had this same thought many many times over ...... then I hear my mother saying "Two wrongs don't make a Right"! So, I opt to take the high road and just feel sorry for them!

I would so do this, to make a point! I had a room mate once who let her dog poop in the yard and didnt clean up - I would be gardening in the veg patch and put my hand in doggy doo. Disgusting! I threatened to leave it (bagged) in her bed one day!
She was terrible at training him too, she ended up having to give him up as work wouldnt have him around (dogs were allowed in the office). He ended up being trained as a police dog! Theres no bad dog, just bad dog owners

Before I had dogs, my neighbor had a dog that always pooped in my yard. I finally returned the deposit at the front of their garage - NOT bagged. They got the point. No high road for me! There are valid 'once in a while' reasons that you can't pick up after your dog, but some people think there are only 'once in a while' reasons for picking it up. I clean up the entire dog area when we are camping - I don't want my dogs stepping in it and I don't have anything better to do while I wait for them to do their business. I should have a t-shirt for those times.

oh I hear ya! I live in the basement of a house and the neighbours upstairs have a dog (a pug). Thankfully they dont let him poop in the yard, but he does poop outside a few houses down and I never see them with a poop bag! Quite often I will pick up Coopers poop and some of it wont be warm, so I know its some other dogs poop.

Incidentally, their dog is as rude as them - constantly barking aggressively at us and they never correct him. The next door neighbours dog barks at Cooper from their yard too. We have to make sure these dogs arent outside when we go outside to play (and that the gate is closed!). On our morning walk there are at least 3 dogs who are outside all the time, who bark and bark as we walk past. Thankfully Cooper just holds her head up high and ignores them.

You would think that people with dogs would be considerate of other people with dogs, but oh no!

I couldn't agree more! I recently stepped in poop at the dog park WHILE I was picking up Callie's poop. That added insult to injury for me! There are 3-4 bag and trash can stations in the park and there's just NO excuse.
