Why?

Why would someone vandalize my Goldendoodle sticker?  Dh and I decided to get away from our ever ringing phone here in Florida (will the political calls EVER stop) and went to dinner with a girlfriend.  We were in the restaurant for about an hour and 20 minutes, parked in a well lite and pretty busy parking lot.  While leaving, as I walk past to get to the passanger side I see that someone has vandalize my Goldendoodle sticker.  Why?  Why would someone do that?  Right where someone could walk by and see them?  Who in their right mind thinks that they have the right to not only touch someone else's property but to destroy it.  I'm angry but mostly just very, very sad.  What a world we live in :(

Jane - I am sorry this happened.  While you may not have wanted to involve the police I would let the restaurant management know that something on your vehicle was tampered with while you were eating in their establishment.  (I use to be a restaurant manager)  Not that they can do anything but just so that they are aware.

I am sorry to hear this Jane. Some people, I like to think they are young and don't consider consequences yet, seem to enjoy vandalizing things. We sometimes have the kids with bats going through bashing mailboxes. Now that I am writing this, the one benefit of our hurricane I just thought of is that we didn't have any of the toilet paper, shaving cream nonsense before Halloween. The kids on the block leave my house alone usually, I think because they like the dogs and know me because of them : )

Awww Jane I know how you feel, I had those magnetic paw print magnets and someone took them off my car one night.  I have the exact same stickers you have on your car !!!!  I lease my car so I was afraid to put them on and I still use the magnets kind.  I would be happy to send you my Goldendoodle and Labradoodle stickers if you want them !!!!  I am not using them at all, please consider taking both so your sticker will look the same = new.

Who would do something like this?!  I can understand taking it personally.  It's your property, and it represents your Stuart.  I'm happy to see that you are going to get a new one.  Maybe you need a new sticker to put next to it that says, "If you choose to vandalize this, beware of owner!"

Wow. that really sucks Jane. What a mean and stupid thing to do. I don't understand what motivates people sometimes. On the bright side however, you drive a Lexus. Sure beats my little hyundai.

Jane, I have the exact Goldendoodle sticker and will keep my eyes open for a new one for you. I know they have them up in San Jose area so next time I am up there visiting the baby I will see if I can get one. I think I might be able to find one here too. Hate to say it...but things are only going to get worse in this country!!!! IMO

Oops...I didn't read all the posts. Looks like Joe replied first and is sending a sticker. I plan to gather more when I can and keep them handy. I even have two Labradoodle stickers (same kind) so if it ever happens to Rooney's sticker let me know!!

Jane, I am so sorry this happened. It makes one sad to think that people do not respect others' property. I do think that they were trying to steal it and failed. Kudos to Joe for sending you a new one. I love Hattie's sticker and, while I never wanted stickers on my car, think I am going to order one like Hattie for Ned and Clancy if I can find a Springer for non-dood Gordie.

THANK YOU ALL!  For feeling my pain - over a silly sticker.  I'm much better today - lol.  Joe is being so nice sending me a replacement sticker and all of you for kind words.  It just brings home how much DK really is a family.  From major issues to small - like this one - we really are there for each other.  Love you guys!!!!!
