About the Contest:

The Petfinder.com Foundation is partnering with Fuzzy Nation to bring you the SUPER MODEL Photo Contest. Through 11:59 P.M. EDT on August 1, contestants may submit a picture of their adopted dog along with their adoption story to the SUPER MODEL Photo Contest app on the Fuzzy Nation Facebook page. The top 50 stories will be chosen by the Petfinder.com Foundation and Fuzzy Nation based on the quality and uniqueness of the story and photo. The shelter or rescue group from which the pet was adopted must be a Petfinder.com member to be eligible.

The top 50 finalists will be announced Aug. 5. From Aug. 8 through 11:59 P.M. EDT on Aug. 21, fans may vote for their favorite of the top 50, once a day. On Aug. 22, the top three winners will be announced and prizes will be awarded.

GRAND PRIZE:

$10,000 to the shelter or rescue group from which you adopted your dog
A custom Fuzzy Nation bag made to resemble the winner's dog
A Kuranda dog bed to pamper your pooch
A $300 gift card to FuzzyNation.com

SECOND PRIZE:

$3,000 to the shelter or rescue group from which you adopted your dog

Ummm - so Stuart is unbelievably cute AND he was adopted from a legit rescue org so can I submit Stuart? Then we could name the Doodle Rescue Collective as who WISH to give the money to or does it have to go through the rescue org that got him? Not that they couldn't use the money too but I'd rather give it to DRC. And I only knew about Stuart because I had signed up through the International Doodle Rescue's adoption service called called ICupid. So at the very least the IDRC could get the money right? Not that he would win but ya never know . . . . but the adoption story has to be really well written - LAURIE - GIVE ME A HAND HERE WILL YA?

Murph says he wants to be a DRC "spokesmodel". I need your help in choosing a photo for him. If you think none of these are right, let me know and I'll try to get a new picture. Here are the choices I came up with..

Although I love the photo with your granddaughter at the bottom, I think for the purposes of the contest the 3 in the middle are the best choices. On your slide show on your page there is also one with him laying his head on the pillows on your bed and I really like that one. I love the photos on your bed (mostly because I think your bed and bedding are beautiful), but I think that it shows just how lucky this little fellow got when you adopted him. Not just any Mom would let their big ole Murphy up on that beautiful white bed and I think this really shows that your home is Murphy's home!
