With Sadness We Report The Loss Of Couch

Not  yet.  We just couldn't bare to loose this beauty.  Maybe next Sunday night?   Couch has led a meaningfull life. To just throw it to the curb after all it has done? What are we going to do?

Often on DK there are discussions that ask if you permit your doodles on the furniture.   Many of you know about Couch.  I have mentioned Couch but I try very hard not to post pictures  taken with Couch as a background.  It is embarrassing but such an important part of daily life.     I was once DARED to post a picture of the doodle Couch...... and of course I did, but it was so hard to do. 

Couch serves a good purpose. For the dogs it provides  rest, a place to stash their toys and a view to the all important outside world.    Our new baby, Starlit, loves to hide her head underneath the cushions and puppy bark.  She thinks Spud can't find her there. 

Most important--it keeps the dogs off the real furniture. They stay off our couch  :) 

But honestly-- I CAN'T TAKE IT ANYMORE! 

So here is my final tribute to Couch. 

 R. I. P COUCH.  GOOD RIDDANCE.

Perhaps you could have Couch cremated and spread the ashes in your garden so that your doodles will never be too far from their beloved friend.

Boy, where was I (who is always on DK) when the "Couch" saga began??? I just got home from Yoga and decided to check my e-mail before showering. Here I am 45 minutes later reading all the "Adventures of Couch" laughing my butt off. I can't believe I never saw this blog and that I just now found it on the main page. Poor Spud...his butt is sliding off the back of the ottoman! Interestingly, my Gracie Doodle doesn't like to be on the couches. We have two love seats so maybe they are not big enough. Her favorite place is the King size bed...all sprawled out with paws up!! I sure hope you get your babies a couch soon. All Doodles need their "spot" and it looks to me like Couch was it! Shame on you! ha ha

Joanne, I've always remembered you for the "couch"  When I finally joined DK I thought I would never remember different members and their post.  I did however remember you for this!  I love the couch.  Just goes to show the love you have for your dood/s.  The older Monty gets to be.........the more furniture he gets to be on....oh my.

Those are great photos of starlit with couch. Couch has maybe come to its time, just as sadly all of us do! It may be time to downsize to Chair! Or the relative Chair and a half? I have seen some really nice coats on them as well. You can even get some that match Spud! It can still act as a squirrel viewing perch. Some come with matching pillows that are really convenient for stashing treats and toys! It can leave more space in the room to have the after bath zoomies too! Maybe even a good change for spud as life moves on after such lose. Just some food for thought in the lose of couch.
