I know we have some VERY enthusiastic ball players here on DK!! But would they get this desperate???

Doris, Tara has the same situation. Living with old person (DH! LOL!) in an old neighborhood. I don't think she has met anyone under about 2 years old and she was really unsure about the little people. She has been afraid of puppies since she was a puppy and I think that children are just the human equivalent of a puppy to her!
Luna's a bit afraid of very small kids too - but thankfully not really any training to do there, her fear reaction is to just stand VERY still and let them do whatever they want. Sometimes she nuzzles hands or licks an ear, but doesn't jump up.
She hasn't really been around babies though (none that aren't walking yet) but hopefully she will be equally gentle with them!
It sounds like it wouldn't take much work for Luna to be comfortable with children but it seems she is too busy doing search and rescue in the snow for any training right now! :)
This is SO funny- I couldn't stop laughing!!! I loved the moment when she sat down politely hoping that would help motivate the baby to play :)
Leslie that moment made me laugh too because Tara does the same thing when she is desperately trying to get me to do something for her!
Cocoa does that too... sometimes she'll even swish her bottom a bit while she is sitting to make sure to notice how nicely she is waiting!
That is so cute. Quincy would put the ball there but then he would bark it no one threw it. He is not the patient.
I can just hear Quincy, "Hey, BABY, pick that darned ball up and THROW it!! What's the MATTER with you?? LOL!
Cooper plops a toy or ball into someones lap every day, then sits there looking at it, waiting for that someone to throw it
Cooper is a patient girl! Maybe she can give Quincy some tips!!
Lucy wouldn't want to play ball, but she would bring them her treat toy thinking they might fill it up for her! She takes it from person to person hoping someone will give in.
Lucy's no fool!
