Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Frequently I read posts where people say how Nature’s Miracle is one of the best products out there. In anticipation of moving into a new house with a ton of carpet, I went out and purchased a bottle of my very own. I used it a couple of times in my temporary housing apartments to clean up some doodle vomit and it didn’t seem like anything special. Then we moved into the house and I had to use it on more vomit and I decided that regular old carpet cleaning spray seemed to do a better job on the stain, yet I continued to see people mentioning Nature’s Miracle in their posts. Today I got home from work and found a nice bile stain in the middle of my hallway carpet. I figured I would give that Nature’s Miracle one more try. I dabbed at the spot and then sprayed the Nature’s Miracle and it didn’t do anything. I sat there grumbling to myself and finally sat back and read the back of the bottle to see if I was using it wrong. Oh boy, was I ever!!
Here is what the bottle said to do: “Spray coat generously and evenly. Brush through coat. Avoid contact with eyes. Use as needed.” I was soooo confused. I turned the bottle over and really looked at the front, which apparently I didn’t do when I bought it because here is what I have:
A quick trip to Petco and I purchased the right product. I came home armed with a bottle of the lemon scented variety and the one made especially for wood floors which was a very smart decision because I came home to a few big puddles of bile and wet doodle paw prints all over the whole first floor. Wonder if they make a product to remove that vomit smell from their paws.
I still feel like an idiot for trying to use a shampoo to clean my carpets and floors. Please tell me that some of you have done something this “brilliant” before.

LOL, Amy, I'm sure I've done something like this but I've forgotten what it might have been!
Ha, that is funny!
I'm just concerned you have so much bile. Do you have cats? My cats will do this, but they are really really old, and Spud will on occasion when he is on his fasting episodes but not this much.
no cats. I'm not sure what is going on with him because other than that he is totally his normal self. Karen suggested giving him some pepcid in the morning so i'm going to give that a try and see if it will help.
New biscuits?
nope nothing has changed. We switched to the beef version of Fromm just this week which is new for him but has been throwing up bile at least once a week for the past month or so which makes me think it isn't the food.
Amy, Thanks for the laugh. I would never admit some of my more "brilliant" ideas. People on this site have a long memory. LOL
Laurie, you admit enough in your blogs so I totally understand you not wanting to admit more.
I know I have, but I cannot remember what!
LOL, I didn't know they made shampoo, has anybody ever used it for cleaning the dogs and not the carpet? :>) I am at that age where my eyesight is not what it used to be and not long ago I was in the shower and thougth the shampoo I was using didn't lather very well. After I had dried my hair it was kind of weird and I thought I hadn't gotten all the soap out. It was only the next day I clued in that I had used conditioner instead of shampoo. I guess I am just lucky I didn't use hair removal cream.
OMG~ I can't see the shampoo or conditioner label either. I know have to use two different brands so I can figure out the difference. It is horrible.
As for Nature' Miracle Shampoo, I'm wondering if it works on Skunks?
