Marital Status: Married 35 years, as of June 4
Children: 1 daughter
Grandchildren: 1 granddaughter, and another grandchild in the "planning" stage
Granddogs: Dixie (now deceased), Jack (Yorkie), and Lucy (White Lab)
Our Dog: Sedona - multi-gen Labradoodle, will be 3 next month -- we waited until my husband retired to get our first dog. SO GLAD WE HAVE HER!!!
*** We've had cats, cats, and more cats - some we got on purpose, most we got because strangers decided to "release" them into the country rather than take them to the shelter. At one point, we had 14 cats! Now, we have just one: Hercules, 15 years old and deaf (or at least very hard-of-hearing).
We got our first doodle right after my husband retired, but we had several dogs before we got started with the doodles. They do require a lot of attention and it was best that we were with them all the time - much of it just at home doing our thing, but lots of time out riding bikes and walking our guys (preferably off-leash). My husband spent the first three years of his retirement doing a major home remodel and building on, and the dogs were here for it all. Good company.
Married 38 years
One daughter
One grandson
Granddogs-
Bella-Vizsla 3 years
Dash- rescue Vizsla 18 months
Past dogs.-
Shadow- boy Bedlington Terrier- lived 13 years
Samantha- girl Bedlington Terrier- lived 12 years
Amber (a rescue) girl Bedlington Terrier- went to a forever home and we lost track of them when we moved.
Marty- Bedlington Terrier- lived 13 years He was our Best Boy! We still miss him soooo much!
After Marty died we thought we would never get another dog...it hurt so much to lose him.
I suffered 3 years without a dog and finally convinced my husband that I NEEDED a dog in my life.
SO...we finally found
Bailey- our mini Golden Doodle!! Bailey just turned one July 3. She is the light of our life!!
Photo is of us driving home with our Bailey after picking her up at the airport.
She was 6 months old. Our smiles say it all!!
Gail~ What a wonderful photo!
Thanks!
Great pic Gail!!
Thanks BruceGirl!
Another Bedlington lover!! My hubby was so upset at losing Norton that i couldn't get another one for fear that the poor dog would never measure up to his predecessor. Bailey is adorable!! I can't live without a dog (or two or three) in my life either!
Ginny- that is why we did not get another Bedlington. My hubby was so devastated when our last one died that I just had to chose a different breed. We love Bailey to pieces!! Doodles are the best! I am working on finding her a playmate. :)
Great photo!
Thanks F!
And his kisses! You look like such a happy family.
