Just when I thought things with my Doods couldn't get any more bizarre...they just did.  I've been debating about even posting this, because I'm thinking everyone will decide I've gone off the deep end.  This is like nothing I've ever even heard of before....I'm just wondering if this is anything that you have experienced.  So, here's what happened.  I've been reluctant to let Murph out of my sight since our "incident" yesterday, but for about 10 minutes while I was making dinner I left the boys upstairs.  I thought they were both sleeping...they were when I left.  It was still quiet upstairs, but I went up to check on Murph and see what he was doing.  When I got to the top of the stairs I could hear that they were in my room (not the den where I left them), so I walked in and flipped on a light.  I couldn't even believe what I saw.  There was Guinness laying on his back with Murph standing over him.  Guinness's "red rocket" was about three inches long.  I totally swear I'm not exaggerating.   He's a little 20 pound mini Doodle.  I freaked out.  He tried to stand up, but he couldn't.  I ran over to him in a panic.  He then did get up but for just a second.  He lied back down, and started to lick himself...and I let him because I had no idea what to do.  In a couple of minutes it was back "inside".  I know this is graphic and totally disgusting, but I am freaked out.  How could this even happen?  Is this something that could be dangerous?  I don't know whether to talk to the Vet or not.  I'm thinking I can never leave them alone again.  I just wonder if this was something that Murph did...or were they humping and this happened.  I don't think so because I would have heard them.  I can't find anything online about it, but then again I'm not sure what to even google.  I swear this the absolute truth.  Once I saw that he was okay I ran for the camera and took a shot but the room was too dark and the three inches had "dwindled" anyway.  What is going on here?

Sheri, I have to agree that this discussion does make an impressive argument in favor of girls, but I must remind you all that I have yet to see JD's "red rocket", I am not at all sure that he has one, and he is 7 years old.

He also doesn't pee on his feet.

Count your blessings, Karen.  I have one with a gigantic red rocket that hangs almost to the floor and he is so flexible that he can pee and drink it all at the same time....and Murph pees on his feet all the time.  He actually almost pooped on Ben's foot last week.  Ben was walking behind him, and he just let go of a big poop while walking along....Ben did some fast moving out of the way.  No shortage of bathroom doggie humor in this house.

Tell Murph that I said that's rude. Really pooping on the trainer's feet, rude Dood.

Aw, Luca has never been known to show his "parts".

Okay ladies, it's morning and I'm now reading all your hysterical responses.  Last night after "the incident" I had had enough for the day, and I went to bed early.  I'm feeling much better today, and you all are making me laugh.  Last night I saw no humor in any of this, but it's a new day.....and yes it is pretty darn funny.  I really think my Guinness is a little bizarre...sweet and cute, but bizarre.  I have no idea how this happened, but it was startling.  It was not just that the "lipstick" made an appearance....this thing was almost down to the floor.  He really couldn't stand up.  This is the same dog who drinks his own urine...as he's going.   Remember that startling video?  Murphy was just staring at him....I think he was in awe.  Jennifer, I can't imagine having to take him to the ER in that condition...or having to get out the Vaseline.  Oh, and your poor Mother.  I will mention it to my Vet the next time we're in.  Thanks for your "advice" and for giving me a real good laugh this morning!

Things always seem "less romantic" with the morning lights on.....LOL!!!

ROFL, Laurie!

Good morning Jane, So glad you see the humor in this and that you are not still "Traumatized" by the whole "Affair". tehetehe

I tend to take this really lightly only because my Murphy does not have a red rocket of any shape, size or color. He is poorly endowed and as much as he may try to "get it up", it ain't happening.  So not all males have this issue and Im not sure why he doesn't but it works for all intent and purposed for peeing, so we're good!

I think your Murphy was as shocked as you were! Since his reaction was the same!

Have they already been sampling the DRC wine?  Does the DRC wine cause people and doodles to lose their inhibitions?! And for the record, this won't make us decide that you've gone off the deep end; we decided that a long time ago.

Ok... now that I read all these posts..... Oliver is my first male dog, I only saw his pee-pee once when he was about 3 months old.. he was sitting in the back yard and he was scratching his neck and it popped out for a second and not very far.  He is now 18 months old and I have never seen it since - is there something wrong with him???  He was neutered at 6 months and does not hump Sasha at all (Sasha is spayed).  Or am I just lucky ???

Oh yes, you are VERY lucky!

You are VERY VERY lucky. My daughters doodle has a HUGE red lipstick and it appears at the most embarrassing times. He is just showing how happy he is I guess. Murphy doesn't have one at all, so I feel very lucky. Although he tries to hump Bella when playing but stops on command easily. All are neutered so it's just a dog thing.
