A very touching story of adoption. When I lived in Austin, every year I would dread the influx of people for South by Southwest (SXSW). But I have to rethink that now. How special this lady is to change her whole plans and give this dog a home!

Thanks for posting.  Not many people would suddenly decide to drive 2000 let alone for a HW positive dog.  I'm sure that Duncan will thank her with love everyday for the rest of his life.

I am not sure.  I can give them a call tomorrow and ask about that.  They are a great organization.  When the city shelter in Austin moved to a new building they took over the old building and have been working with the shelter to make Austin a no-kill city.  They have had some great success over the last two years.  Some of their marketing ideas are fantastic.
