You Proud of Me Mom?

I got a big shock tonight.  Maddie was outside in our fenced in backyard tonight and when I went to the sliding glass door to let her in......yuck.....she had something in her mouth with a long rat like tail.  She seemed so proud of herself  I turned around and got one of the boys cause I didn't want to open the door.  She had a small opossum in her mouth.  They are so ugly.  She dropped it on the step and came in the house.  It's alive but it's not moving.  Don't know if it's just playing possum or really hurt.  Will be checking a little later.  

Maddie the hunter.....a young rabbit a few weeks ago and now a opposum.  Gonna have to keep my eyes on her and we live in the Chicago suburbs.

lol, BB has a penchant for animals long since gone. He siphons them into his mouth in a very inconspicuous way, almost as if nothing has happened. One can only tell by the odd I'm-hiding-something-in-my-mouth-and-nobody-knows expression he takes on.  Thankfully DH has been around all three times to fish out the dead mouse, petrified frog, and moldy mole (I swear it looked moldy!)
