Agree with Karen! Balls, balls, balls! He loves his Orbee-tuff Orbee Earth ball... It bounces a lot which makes it more challenging to fetch. Tennis balls are great too.

Welcome to your new doodle!

I bought Addie several different types of toys and let her pick. She likes the PetStages rope toy with the pacifier, and also Petstages Okra chew. She also likes to sleep with a furry toy rabbit that has stuffing only in its head. (I forgot the brand). For her teething, I bought a puppy Nylabone that has seen a lot of chewing.

Oh, about tennis balls, she chews the covers off.

I bought the hide-a-squirrel toy for her this week! I thought she would enjoy trying to find them and pull them out. So far, my kids love it - LOL.

My first doodle LOVED his hide a squirrel and had it for 4 months before it became a chew toy. Maybe put it away and try again a little later? But I can see how kids would like it too.

When we brought Myla home, we had a ton of toys, but all she played with was a plastic water bottle filled with a bit of gravel! She would nose it all over and grab the top and flip it in the air!  She would not give it up!  We actually could not believe that we spent all that money on toys!  Now of course, she would chew up a water bottle in five minutes so they are off limits and her favourite toys are "West Paw" chew toys and "jw" balls.

I also highly recommend the Snuggle Puppy. It has a "heartbeat" and you can warm it, so puppy still thinks it is with mommy or littermates. Sawyer eventually killed his, but it was his go-to possession for a long time.

Honestly, anything left laying on the floor!  Truman enjoys a lone sock as much as an expensive Kong toy.  I would not go crazy,  definitely something to chew, maybe a couple stuffed toys.
