Zeutering ?

Zeutering is a non surgical alternative to neutering.
It's done w a simple injection.

Just found out about this and my mind is kinda blown!

I did a quick search here and nothing.

Has anyone on DK heard, tried, or have an opinion??

Aside from the concerns expressed in that discussion, my thoughts are that you would have to carry some kind of papers around with you and be doing a lot of explaining, since to the eye, the dog would appear to be intact. :)

Not sure about the latter part since I think the testes shrink. But overall I would not recommend such a new procedure when the long term health effects are unknown.

I don't know; the article said that the injections render them sterile, but that they still have 50% (if I remember correctly) of their testosterone. Not sure that would be the case if the testes shrunk, but I really have no idea.

Oh, after reading the Q & A further, especially the section on how this works to sterilize the dog,I don't think I would do this. Inflammation and scar tissue. Cheaper and the dog doesn't have to be put under, but otherwise I don't see the advantage. 

Although I'm sure the insurance company who published for the review thinks "cheaper" is a huge advantage, lol.
