NAME: Zsa Zsa

BREED: Labradoodle

SIZE : Medium (45 lbs. )

DESCRIPTION: Zsa Zsa has a unique silver , grey colored, wavy, soft fleece coat.

She is wearing a pink collar. Zsa Zsa arrived from Texas via transport this morning 11/7 and bolted from her new owners when she arrived at her new home. As of 7:15 this evening she has not been found!.....

We are sick over this and have contacted all local authorities, animal welfare agencies and animal control. She is scared, shy and unfamiliar with her surroundings.

Oh! Gus and I are so excited that she's been spotted, every morning we look for an update! She's a smart cookie! She's headed home! I think she needed to go though the "thought process" and feel that her new home is O.K. Wish we could be there to help.

You poor things....all of you. I am sure she is scared to death out there in a strange place but what you must be going through physically and mentally must be horrible. I feel so bad for all of you and wish I could help in some way. The only thing I know that must give you comfort is that so many of your doodle family are routing and praying for you to bring this girl home safe and sound. Every time I look at her darling picture, my stomach goes over. I am sure she is close by but must be so hungry and weak by now. Maybe that alone will make her easier to get as sad as it sounds. Do keep us all updated as I, like many others, check daily. Hugs to you all.

Has anyone contacted the local media? This might possibly be just the type of story that could bring some attention to your efforts as a rescue group as well as Zsa Zsa's plight.

The local radio station has been running it. All the local shelters and rescues and police have been notified. Posters are up all over the area. We are now looking for a company who may be able to trap her. We will try anything at this point to find her. We don't care what it costs. It's almost a week now and we have been on pins and needles since Saturday. Thank You to everyone who are sending good thoughts to ZZ to find her way back to us. Keep sending those prayers.

There's a link on the site (on the bottom right) under EXPRESS YOURSELF to "tell us your story". I think the story of ZZ would be a great human interest story that they may be willing to run with and post a photo for you in the paper. The Journal News is the main source of print news for that region. (I used to lived just across the river in Rockland County) Even if they just ran an Internet only story it would be something visual or a place to put a lost ad.

I see they now have a www.news12.com which seems to be a local cable news and they too might run with a photo and a story. I'm not familiar at all with news12 but it might just be another avenue to explore.

Just trying to be helpful and praying along with everyone else that tonight's the night she finds her way to safety.

Just thought I'd bump this up again to see if there is any new news. With this horrible storm coming I hope she has been found or is found shortly. Please keep us posted as we live in NJ and may be able to drive out there to help with the search if necessary this weekend.
