Our Nuggy: Raw fed and taking advantage of the situation.....
Just a funny story to share....
Our 3 year old Aus Labradoodle has been raw fed since being fed by her mom. Our breeder fed raw and we stuck with it.....I guess Nuggy wanted to take it to the next level today when I left her in the house with some raw salmon filets. (Wild caught Alaskan salmon filets....no less!!) I was prepping dinner and needed to go meet my child's bus, so left the frozen salmon filets to thaw on the kitchen counter. Usually Nug waits at the door for her leash to walk to the bus stop with me. Today, she seemed to be fast asleep on the dining room rug. (After watching my work with the salmon filets pretty intently.) When we walked into the house, Nug wasn't at the door to jump all over the place to greet us, as usual. Instead (yes, you guessed it) she was in the family room gnawing on a frozen salmon filet on the beige rug. So, she got her Omega 3s for the day and just in case you're wondering, salmon filet does come out of beige rugs with rug cleaning enzymes. I haven't had to employ our soda cans with pennies in them to keep her off the counters in a while, but I dragged them back out of the cabinet today and put them around just "to remind" her that that space is off limits! Never a dull moment with a doodle!!
