Aussiedoodle

Welcome to The Aussiedoodle Group  -  Where we love to share photos, experiences, concerns, laughs, and so much more about our ADs. A group where we understand the proud ownership you feel about these amazing furry creatures. We also understand that though the AD is a doodle cross, it has a unique set of features from its Golden and Labrador cousins.

About The Breed

Aussiedoodles are Australian Shepherd and Poodle cross, NOT Australian Labradoodles

Aussiedoodles are very consistent in their shaggy Looks, and typically very low to no shedding. They are very smart. They are Like Little children with Hair, You just can't go wrong

They are popular as Service and/or Therapy dogs due to their trainability, Caring and eager to please personality. Specifically, many are used as Diabetic Alert Dogs.

Their sizes are much easier to predict as both Australian Shepherds and Poodles come in 3 sizes, Miniature, Moyen, and Standard.

Like babies, dogs do amazing on a normal time table. The schedule teaches them that there are situations to devour, times to play and instances to do their business enterprise. generally speakme, a home dog can manipulate their bladder one hour for every month of age. So if your domestic dog is months antique, they can hold it for about hours. Do not cross longer than this amongst bathroom breaks or they’re assured to have an coincidence.

On August 8, we will be bringing home our Aussiedoodle puppy.  Her name is Chloe and she will be joining her half sister, Maggie who is 2.  Maggie and Chloe share the same father.  We are super excited!!

We're eager to visit our pup, Brody, next weekend. His breeder is careful to limit visitors until the pups have their shots. I've had aussies, but this is my first AD.

His dad is a full poodle, and his mom is a F2+ AD.

After six years we are still trying to connect with any Aussiedoodle owners in the Sterling/Ashburn/Herndon/Reston/Leesburg area of Virginia. A few months ago I finally encountered another Aussiedoodle in a pet store. The owners got him from Doodlesville.  We would love to just get our AD together with others and compare notes. They are such awesome dogs!!  Jeanne
