INDOG Doodle Romps Policies - Indiana
A doodle romp is when people who have Labradoodles and Goldendoodles get together and let their dogs play.
Responsible Owners Mannerly Pets (ROMP)
There is usually an admission fee. The fee is to cover the cost of rental of the location. This fee will vary depending upon the location. Most fees are around $5.00.
A waiver of liability will need to be completed and signed at each doodle romp.
Here are three simple rules... we hate rules but due to the size of the romps, we have to have them to protect your dogs and the people.
For the health of your doodle:
Do not bring puppies that are under 4 months of age - they have not been fully immunized.
All dogs should have complete immunization – including all rounds of puppy shots. Bortella (kennel cough) and Rabies. We will not be verifying this, but owners should make sure that they protect their doodles.
For the safety of your children:
Monitor your children at all times. Please do not let them run! Many of these doodles have not been around children and may not have "children social skills". We really don't want to see children get hurt!
For the fun of the doodles:
Flat Collars only. No Pinch or Training Collars. This is fun time not training time.
In addition, this will prevent other dogs (and peoples fingers) from snagging on their collar.
Note to Breeders: Please do not bring puppies you are trying to sell.
Sidenote: We have found that some other dog types and breeds tend to not do very well within the doodle romp groups. The smaller the dog, the more concern for safety. Please consider your others dogs reactions and ability to socialize with a lot of doodles before bring the dog. Some do fine, but aways think in terms of if that dog will find joy being there.
