Completed My Calendar with the help of Master Images

As opposed to the DRC Calendar, I don't have the luxury of multitude of nice photos to choose from when I do the Maltese Rescue California Calendar.  I have tried to get folks to submit images but, never get any of any worth.  We are a small organization and I think that I am the only person within the organization with any interest in photography.

One of the ladies in the organization said that she was going to organize a mass influx of images and I was told that I didn't need to worry about the calendar.  Then when no (or very few) entries were submitted, I was asked to do the calendar and requested to have the large images only of Maltese for this year.

A master image is an image converted from a RAW file that has input sharpening applied, color correction and exposure correction applied if necessary, and all other editing EXCEPT cropping, final sizing, and final output sharpening applied.  I save the Master Image as a Photoshop (PSD) File and this allows me to return to the file at any time and produce a final product of virtually any size or quality with only cropping. resizing and output sharpening required.  As a result of this system and of having the opportunity to photograph hoards of dogs, I was able to go into my files and produce the calendar in less than a day's work.

I decided to give the calendar a theme and use only head shots except for the front page - which I think came out quite well...

Thanks all - the small photos were my wife's idea.  I had the idea of putting a name on each of the small photos.  Honestly cropping those small images and placing the names on them was the most time consuming portion of the project.

I don't think that Muppet and Dakota are related in any way....
