December Assignment--Portraits

For December we have doodle portraits with or without a holiday theme. If a human portrait sneaks in that's fine too. Silhouettes are fine. So basically any kind of portrait. Have fun!

Oh Donna...I'm just seeing this....I love everything about it!!!! The blues are beautiful....and Quincy....well he's ALWAYS beautiful! Love Love Love it!!!

Here is a portrait of my darling wife which she is going to use on her American Maltese Rescue website. I used a Canon 7D and 70-200mm f/4L IS lens. The lighting was absolutely simple: Canon 430EX on the camera's hotshoe and bounced off the ceiling using a Joe Demb Flash Diffuser Pro (www.dembflashproducts.com) to modify the light. ISO 160 and "P" mode. Dovie is our first rescue Maltese whom we have had for over ten years. She always looks sad, even when she is happy...
