Feedback on this shot please...

I was at a polo match yesterday and had a problem.  I had purchased a new spray sunscreen but the sprayer wasn't working.  I messed with it until it finally sprayed which was good except that I caught the spray directly in my eyes.  The eyes burned like heck and I had trouble seeing out in the bright sun.  THat's why I cut the head off this player.  I was at 312mm and I could have gone down to 100mm which was the widest focal length of my lens.

Anyway, I liked the way the horse looked in the image!

I decided to get creative with the image and ended up with this.

It is really quite nice or absolutely horrible and I can't decide which.

Anyway, I love the sheer power of these wonderful horses who seem to enjoy the match as much as the riders do.

I hope your eyes have cleared up.  I like all the photos and treatments, but I think I like the treatment less than the regular photo.

Great shots, Richard.  I like the treatment--it emphasizes the tension in the muscles of the horse and human.  But I think that substituting the soft background in the original image would create a better effect.
