Well, I made it under the deadline. How about water in all it's guises from one drop to the ocean. Doodles and water. Rain. Or anything at all. It is summer and we can be carefree. wishing everyone a happy Canada Day, Happy Independence Day and a lovely month.

Nice catch F.  I love hummingbirds too, but have not seen one yet this year!

So great to see them at the flowers!

My neighbor and I were out talking and this little hummingbird kept flying in and out of the bush we were standing next to. We both wondered if there was a nest inside. Great capture, F. I love to see these little birds.

I would love to see hummingbirds, heck I would have loved to see the Bee Balm I planted last year come back. I commend you on your patience.

I took these pix at Carolina Waterfowl Rescue. The first duck only has 1 leg. Hmm, how do you get the pix to appear without the links? Do I have to upload them under My Page first?

Barbie, Just above the reply box click on the second icon from the left  to embed photos in the discussion. You have to use a computer.  How does that bird get around with only one leg other than flying?

North Carolina has a wonderful bird sanctuary in the eastern part of the state.  http://shwpark.com/  I know it is considerable distance from you but if you are ever in that part of the state check it out.

Oh, the Image box. Doh, how'd I miss that? Thanks, Anne.

The little critter hops on its leg and uses its wings for support. The rescue has lots of disabled waterfowl, a few goats, and a turkey named Mr. T (who has his own Facebook page). On my first visit, I went to the bathroom and heard something in the bathtub 1 foot from me, so I slightly pulled back the shower curtain back and saw a huge swan lounging in water (part of its rehab). Yah, I was quite surprised. Wow, I'll definitely have to visit Sylvan Heights one day - beautiful birds!

Good shots. The first and last are of Canada geese I think.

Thank you! Looks like I need to learn my birds. :O)

So glad places like this exist.  Nice geese images, Barbie.

Thank you.

Biking this morning, I saw this beautiful pelican standing in the Columbia River.  It is a gorgeous day here!
