My computer crashed

Yesterday, after spending over an hour on my computer editing my photos for the calendar contest, my computer froze and I lost all my work.  I had been having issues with it being really slow for a long time now, but this was the last straw.  I get to pick it up tonight and hopefully can have all my pictures done by the deadline Friday.  I also bought Adobe photoshop, which they are installing for me.  So, providing I can learn the photo shop fast enough, I hope to have my pictures ready by the deadline.

I had a similar situation happen yesterday too - the computer I use for the pics kept rebooting itself.  I don't usually procrastinate on things but for some reason with the pics I always wait, thinking maybe I'll get a really good one.  I hope you are able to get yours submitted by Friday!

Sorry to hear this Jane. Did you get PSElements? Photoshop is not easy, I've been struggling with it for days now. Did you have any of your pictures online. Even if they are on DK people may be able to help you retrieve them. Also, I use DropBox. So as I type, well not quite, I think I'll put my latest effort there. That way they are in the "cloud" and you can get them back.

Thankfully I still had all the photos on my card, so I only lost my editing work.  I looked into Photoshop CS5 and it was $200.  I was able to get Adoble photoshop for $100.  The lady with the Geek Squad said it was easier to learn, and had the clone feature I've been looking for.  I will be doing a lot of playing tonight, and hopefully can figure it out.

New computer is up and running, and boy is it nice.  Tomorrow night I can hopefully learn the photoshop.
