We got a new yellow Labrador grandpuppy named Roscoe! Toby is soooo happy! I've been experimenting with creating slideshows and books/scrapbooks in iPhoto (for Mac). Here are two different versions I made using the same photos:

Book (Crayon template):

Well 1st let me congratulate you on your new "grandpuppy"!    Roscoe is a cute!    I love both of your creations Linda and the pics are wonderful!   My 2 favorites are of Roscoe from the back....looking over the stones and the other is Roscoe sniffing Toby.     I really like the Book version!    What great gifts!
Oh  my goodness he is the cutest thing I've ever seen! The photos are adorable too, I love the ones of him and Toby playing.
These are really special Linda, I'm sure your grandkids will love them.
Congratulations, Roscoe is really adorable. Linda, your slideshows are amazing. We switched from pc to mac earlier this year and I'm ready to play around in iphoto.
Thank you, Sandy! You will love iPhoto's "face recognition" feature, and how easily you can (automatically) resize pix to email to friends, too. Making slidshows or books - or slideshows that LOOK like books - with music in the background is very easy and fun to do, too. You'll enjoy this software!  :)
The puppy is adorable but the grandchildren are gorgeous!! I'm not sure which I covet more. Enjoy them all. Toby looks like he met his match. Wonderful photos.
I really like them both.  The second one is definitely more masculine if that is the look you want.  IMO I would go for the first one because he is a puppy and use the second format when he is older and needs a more masculine backdrop.
Ah, yes, good point! Thanks, Nancy! iPhoto has a BUNCH of different layouts/templates for making (real or virtual) books.
What a great Nana you are!  I love your new grandpuppy.  The scrapbooks are so incredible.  I am so in awe of your talents!

Hi Linda,

It is always such a treat to see what new projects you put up on here. I love them. Roscoe is adorable and it looks like he loves Toby. I loved the snaps of the him jumping in the air, and another one where Toby's ears are flying up high above his head. The book version is awesome and I was bopping my head along with the tune "you've got a friend in me" You are so talented! eva

So now I'm crying - but it is a happy thing.  The absolute love of mine and DH life was our yellow Lab - Crosbey, gone now for 10 yrs..  He and Roscoe could have been twins.  You have the most beautiful grandchildren who are in for the best friend of their lives - Roscoe will play, cuddle, comfort, protect and love those kids - how lucky they and he are!  Beautiful.

Thank you, everyone for your sweet comments! I posted this just before running out the door to go to the DMV to renew my license. (ugh) It was such a nice surprise to come home and see your posts. :)

My husband and I have been agonizing for months over whether or not to get a puppy so Toby would have a playmate. When our daughter and her boyfriend said recently they wanted to get a puppy but were worried about leaving such a little guy at home, alone, while they are at work, we said, "We'll watch him for you during the day!!!" So, she brings Roscoe over on the way to school (she's a teacher) and picks him and the kids up on her way home. (We grab Jenna from preschool and Jacob from elementary school every day.) It's a wonderful arrangement for all of us! :)
