Next year's calendars

How would you feel if next year, we had 2 PG members join me as a panel of judges for photos?
Perhaps 2 individuals who didn't want to submit photos? Or 2 LD people on a GD calendar panel and 2 GD people on an LD calendar panel? I would be the tie breaker?

What do you think?

I check FB out each day, but my favorite group is DK and I am glad when the calendar stuff gets posted here too. Thank you!

I always read your e-mails, Adina, and I mostly delete my fb e-mails unread. But I am old school and don't like the disjointedness of fb.

Adina, Have the number of entries greatly increased with all the new members? I only see the ones posted in the PG, but are there tons of other members not in the PG submitting photos. I know we always had people post who no one ever heard of and then leave after the calendar, but are you still seeing that in the entries?

No I don't think the total number of entries has increased as our membership has increased. I do think there are members who join merely to submit photos, but that's going to happen. Be happy our photos don't get chosen by some 'vote for my doodle' contest whereby everyone's friends join in order to get more votes ;-)

At first I too was "oh no" about not having Adina do it all..... But after reading through the comments, I do think it would work having a couple of PG members help out. Adina will have the final say, and the helpers don't have to be named. A couple of different people each year to help get rid of the blurry, cluttered, too small photos and be there to help Adina make the hard decisions. I'd be willing to help.

I miss the slide show too, I notice I upload way less doodle photos now than when we were having themes.

With little time between work, classes, and homework FB has become more convenient to check on all my groups of people at one time (family, LVdoodlegroup, DK friends, photofriends, friends) I do need to start checking in more often, I do miss getting involved in discussions and posting/commenting in PG on photos.
