Busy weekend - I shot the Dia de Muertos in San Diego on Saturday and then I shot the Renaissance Faire in Escondido on Sunday.

Renaissance Faires are fun events.  All of the participants enjoy having their photos taken so, it is great for anyone who is shy about asking permission to shoot a stranger...

I shot these with my Canon 5D2 and 70-200mm f/4L IS lens with a Canon 600EX RF flash fill...

The 70-200mm lens is really nice for people shooting on a full frame camera because you can get a wider view with the full frame camera than with a crop model. It is a perfect portrait camera but also just fine for 3/4 or full length views.

1.  169mm at f/9

2. 200mm at f/9 - at 200mm you can blur the background - even at f/9

3. 200mm at f/4

4. 144mm at f/5

5. 200mm at f/10

The Faire is held two times a year in Escondido and the Fall Faire also incorporates a Halloween Motif...
