Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

This is for photos you are thinking of submitting for the Calendar and that you would like to show us. If you want more detailed critiques and/or editing help I have started another discussion for that. I know there will be overlap and possibly a mish mash but we can handle that. Don't forget to check the guidelines.

I'm stating early because the calendar submissions need to be in by 9/22. seems like the submission period gets shorter every year.

Remember that vertical shots only go on the multiple doodles per page calendar. If you want a chance at a full page you need horizontal shots.

I love the concrete background.  Trim that hair around the eye and these will be great!  She is both beautiful and goofy.

Of course they are all good but #1 is darling.

These are all great, but my favorite is #3, followed very closely by #2.  Love everything about it.

Thanks everyone. I have a few ideas for shoots this weekend. I may retry this just for fun as well. I love reworking shots to make things better. The dog cooperation is always the biggest issue. As most of you know.

Every idea I come up with takes me about 3 to 4 photo shoots before I am ever "almost" happy with the results. I am amazed when my dogs cooperate, but Vern sat today with that hat on his head and the Vernors up against his body while I adjusted my camera, moved things around, etc. He was a very good boy. I want to get an action of Fudge and that will be much harder. Good luck. I am not sure how you can improve on #3.

I'm getting bored with all the Georgia running towards me shots. Still looking to perfect it.
But she has fun with the activity and getting treats. Easiest way to get a good shot.
I want to do more staged shots. Getting her to look happy or even to look at me when sitting still, well, you would think I was torturing her. I have fresh chicken, all the squeakers. She's not impressed.

LOL...they certainly have our number!

One year I only wanted to submit action shots and I did the dogs running toward me on our pier a billion times. I know the feeling. I still have never gotten one of Fudge that was perfect. She is hard with her eyes. My goal is to get the best shot of her jumping off the boat, but it requires an assistant throwing her toy in the water while I move around the boat on a kayak or paddle board. I will get it, but now sure if it will be this year.

I can't wait to see the results, Laurie.

Boy, do we ever. Although sometimes lack of cooperation results with a good shot like when Calla was about to take off just as I was taking the shot.

Aww how sweet! Love the 3rd one!
