We woke up this morning to see it snowing.  A Canadian blast of cold air came ripping through San Diego County and deposited about an inch of snow.  Snow often comes to the mountains east of us but, we live at 1,500 feet above sea level and have never seen snow at this low altitude.

We are in Fallbrook...about 700 above sea level and just cold and rainy. Just heard the 15N was slowed down because of snow in and around Temecula. Good day to stay indoors!
Wow. Snow is beautiful and great when it's a little bit, brief and a rarity. Beautiful pictures. Meanwhile I'm celebrating that we had no snow all of December :-)

We live in Hidden Meadows, just south and across the I-15 from Fallbrook. These images were shot right at dawn.  The snow began to melt as soon as full light.

Wow! I was up and out with Enzo ( in the rain) at 6:15. Guess it must have been melted by then.

Wow!

How cool for you.  It certainly was cold enough here and the 'snow' light came on in our car when we were driving home last night - but, Riverside, no snow.

In San Diego???!!! WOW!!! We had a few snow flakes coming down today (in Las Vegas) but nothing stuck.

Beautiul snow pictures;  however, the snow looks alien to the landscape.
