The Calendar for 2013

Congratulations to all the winners!!! And we know that many people who submitted great photos after lots of hard work did not get selected. Many fine photos are not selected for reasons of all kinds. We'd love to see shots that were selected here as well as a personal favorite of those that did not get selected. Let's all look over the calendars, and order some of course, and get ideas for next year. Also, keep on shooting, I will skip today in deference to the hurricane we are in the midst of. But Adina noted she had few fall photos and it's a good idea to take photos in all seasons, not just right before the picture due date.

Leanna, I know these discussions seem to roll off the front page faster and faster every day, but there were several discussions in the Photography group about what photos we were submitting, editing help, etc. and then Adina had at least two discussions on the front page about submitting our photos. Mark your calendar for next year...August is the get ready month and September is the submission month. I remember Ozzy Bob's picture from my current calendar and am sorry you missed the deadline.

Leanna, I also send out emails announcing things like this all the time.  I announced it before we started accepting photos, then each week while we were accepting photos.  Do you get our announcement emails?  All announcements are in our Forum...if you click on the Forum tab, just scroll down to the Announcements for Members section.

Trav's coat is maturing, I guess you would call it.  Then I remembered how people are saying parti's and black doodles have been under-represented in the calendar, and it was like one of those light bulb moments!  The, uh, cafe au lait/taupe dog is not only under-represented, it's just plain missing!  Such blatant injustice will surely be remedied next year!  Heh, heh.....

And today is this pretty boy's third birthday.  Happy birthday, buddy!  Think we'll make a trip to the indoor dog park, which he loves, loves, loves...

Whoa!!!!! Wish we had an indoor dog park!!!!! I never can keep Dakota bust enough in the winter . . . Oh! And Trav's coat is beautiful!!!!

Thanks, Diane!  We've had some doodle romps at this indoor park, and I've been there three or four other times when there was just a handful of other dogs and it worked out really nicely.  Today--not so much!  There must have been 30 dogs, mostly HUGE bloodhounds, rotties, etc., and Trav didn't like being crowded and prodded and sometimes chased by so many strange dogs.  All these dogs have been tested so they're supposed to get along with all sizes and shapes of other dogs, but this was just overwhelming.  So we left there and went to Petco.  :)

Hi Pat!
It was so fun meeting you at Adina when she came to Portland! I have not seen you since, and hopefully we can remedy that some time. I was so excited to see that Traveler is featured in a DoodleKisses calendar. He is such a beautiful dog, and yes, lavender does seem to describe his coloring! Please give him a squeeze for me! Happy Birthday, Trav!!!!
