Backyard Plastic Pools

Any pictures or suggestions from anyone who uses a backyard plastic pool when you can't get to the lake?

We just want one that keeps him cool and wet until we can get to the lake.

Yes Beth, that's what Spud thinks too!

Spud eats and drinks lying down. So when he is thirsty, he jumps in the pool, lies down and then takes a drink. He just thinks its a very large water bowl.

I guess I should be glad it's a toilet.

You need to get a ridged plastic pool so they do not pop it with their teeth or toe nails. Gracie gets a new one every year as it is. We started with a small one when she was little and now currently have the biggest one we can find...so far. There are usually three dogs in it at the same time. Gracie Doodle who is a standard Goldendoodle and two English Springer Spaniels who are her best friends! We have pool parties every weekend and sometimes have as many as 7 dogs but they are all in and out chasing their tennis balls. Here in California the pools are seasonal and a month ago when I tried to buy one for my new Grand-daughter Rhodesian Ridgeback I was unable to find one. I tried Target, Toys R Us, WalMart, etc. and was told they are seasonal and won't be available until next Spring.

This was the smallest pool and Gracie was 9 weeks old, the brown Springer was 4 months and the black was 9 months.

This is Gracie at 15 months in another pool but the same size as the one above.

This summer...Gracie is 2 years, Sable 2 1/2 and Genie over 3 years. Again, the biggest pool we can find so far...

We use an old sandbox that works great with our 35lb. Labradoodles. She loves it!!!!!
