Just joined doodles that swim. Our Murphy is a freak about the pool, can't keep him out of it.The only good thing is he won't jump in the pool he only goes in at the steps. We love our water baby.

Thanks to iPhone app called Burst, I was able to take this series of pictures of Chewie jumping into the pool.

Yes, he wears a red life jacket because he sometimes get "runs over" in the dog pool by labradors/goldens double his size.

Thank You Nancie!! That is one of two pools in our neighborhood. They hold dog swims and Ellie swims herself to exhaustion!! LOL...We do have neighbors that have a salt water pool. I also think that is the way to go. We are lucky enough to have a fresh water lake and river right near us. Ellie really enjoys it. She likes balls also, but LOVES sticks more. I have a collection of them at my back door. These doodle babies are certainly a gift!! She never stops amazing me and ALWAYS makes me Smile~

Very cute photo.  My Gracie Doodle loves the water too.  She doesn't have a pool so we have to take her to our dog beach or to the bay.  It becomes a bit more of a project because we then have to deal with salt water and sand.  I would LOVE to have access to a pool but I think I would want to have one of those salt water pools because of the chlorine that is in the regular pools.  Lots of people are converting their pools to salt water now.  Gracie loves water so much that she stands in her water bowls and when there is any significant size of water container around, she dunks her head in it.  She also is ball obsessed so her tennis balls get a constant washing in her water bowl before each throw.  She has this habit of squishing her "two" tennis balls in the water and pushing them around with her nose to get them all clean.  Then she drops them at our feet for the next throw.  We are going to take a two hour trip on Saturday up to where they have a Dock Dog facility and it is open to newcomers to learn and practice dock diving.  I think she is going to love it!

Hi all I just joined after a summer of swimming for Neely. I bought a doggie blow dryer and got him dryed after swimming all day at the cottage. The issue I have is with his ears. He has one ear that is always worse than the other when it comes to cleaning it. He has only had one ear infection but I want to make sure he doesn't get any! The boys say I cause them by cleaning them out after swimming instead of letting them alone. I do clean his ears thoroughly. Has anyone used any ear plugs of any sort? My son had the formable wax ones when he was litttle and I wondered if anyone had thought of that and what the out come was.
