My girl, Gingy, is a red F1 Goldendoodle.  She has these new side bangs coming in and they are much lighter than her other hair. I know this breed is notorious for changing but do you think my pup will? She is 18 weeks. We named her because of her color and I love it so!

It's definitely possible. Riley was a really pretty red when she was a pup but now at 2 she is really blonde.

Wow! That is crazy! She looks like a completely different dog.  She is gorgeous nonetheless, it's just amazing to see the difference!

Still has the same temperament and personality which is what matters most. She keeps us laughing. I do miss the red though. :-)

Very, very few red puppies retain that color. They almost always fade to apricot or reddish blonde. In an F1, that's almost guaranteed.

As for the "side bangs", that's hair from the crown of her head. It's going to keep growing, just like the hair everywhere else. It's going to need trimming, also like the hair everywhere else. It's falling to the side rather than back or down, but you can brush it in any direction you choose. Typically, it does naturally part on the forehead and fall to the sides if you keep it longer.

Awesome! Thanks!

My Sierra is an F1B mini goldendoodle. She was very dark red when she was born. She is still very red at 16 months and hopefully she'll stay that way. I get lots of comments about her coloring.
But I know that it can still change. She was much straighter though. She has lots of curls now.
The first 2 pictures are from gotcha day at 8 weeks. The last one is now.
