MAY 15TH ARIZONA DOODLE ROMP

Hi all, We will have our May romp on the 15th. We have two options. One we can go to Paseo Vista Dog Park again, which is very nice and clean and we've had no issies at all there. Or you are all welcome to come to our house which is very near the dog park in the development accross the street actually.

Our yard is a pretty good size, it is all fenced and walled and there will only be our doodles. I will need some opinions before i announce a site. Please let me know,.

 

Also,For the summer months, I am firming up an agreement with a Doggie Day care in Gilbert, called "Pete and Mac's"

It is at 321 East Elliot Road • Gilbert, AZ 85234 • 480-633-3384 .

 

This may be closer to some and further away for other, but they were the only facility that could take at least 12 large dogs indoors. It is airconditioned and they are not charging us to have our monthly romps there. They have a few rules, but nothing you wouldn't expect of any day care.

• The maximum number of dogs may not exceed 40.
• All dogs need to be people and dog social.
• Dogs must be at least 16 weeks old to attend.
• All dogs older than 6 months must be spayed or neutered.
• No females in season.
• A current Rabies vaccination certificate will be required for each dog.  Vaccination must be given by a licensed veterinarian.
• Please clean-up after your dog.  There will be scoopers, trashcans and mops available for your convenience.
• For our boarding guest’s well-being, please stay in the meeting area.  We will be happy to give you a guided tour of our resort.

I hope to go there soon and get a tour and will report back. This should be a nice option to the heat.

Hi Eric, Thanks for doing my due diligence for me as I obviously fell down on this one. I can't ignore the reviews and certainly after having read them I know that I would not use them for Murphy, so I could not ask others to bring their doodles there either. Granted we would be with them the whole time, however, these claims are disturbing and whether true of not is hard to discern on the internet, but I'd rather not deal with the chance that it is and then we helped support them in any way.

Therefore, unless someone can come up with an airconditioned place, I think we will have to take a break for the summer months and resume in Sept.
Thoughts anyone?

I live right across from Chaparral Park so Molly and I go there whenever we can. And Bentley and Karen live across from the Chaparral dog park. Would love to have our group meet there once in a while so us Scottsdalers don't have to drive so far. Maybe this fall we can do a Scottsdale romp? :)
