I'll post new pieces here as I paint them. I hope others will do the same and start their own threads in the Art Cafe! :)

Great photo and simply gorgeous portrait.

This is awesome.....

Do you print them on thr canvas?

Great Portrait Linda, what a Beautiful Girl!

Thank you, everyone!

@Kyoko - sometimes I do a (canvas) gallery wrap on lightweight stretcher bars that can be framed, and sometimes I put them on thick stretcher bars and then hand-embellish the canvas with pastels/acrylics (the glazing medium I use makes them look like an original oil painting). Recently, I've also started offering them mounted behind a very contemporary looking glass frame from www.fractureme.com (in a custom size of 19.3"x23.5") - they look amazing!

If anyone orders from FractureMe please mention that you were referred by Linda Bell (www.LaBellGallery.com). I get a teeny tiny discount on the price right now, but they are keeping track of my referrals and may offer me better wholesale pricing in the future. :)

With Joy William's permission, I used her photo of a peacock as a reference for a painting. :) Here's her original, followed by my interpretation of it (and a couple closeups).

Thank you, Joy! :)

Beautiful as always. I love peacock feather, they are so spectacular. They remind me of a beautiful silk paisley.
Thanks! And what a great way to describe it! :)
Gorgeous Linda! The way you handle your brushes is amazing! (Coming from one who has tried!!!)
Wow, I love this peacock one. It's gorgeous, well done!
beautiful
Thank you, both! It was fun to do. :)

I finished a new painting of my granddaughter Jenna this morning.

To give you a little background on this, i took some photos of her the other day playing with bubbles.

Soon after we started a bubble landed perfectly on her nose!

From that moment on, she was determined to get ANOTHER one to do the same thing. She chased them all over the place, sticking her nose out as far as she could. I laughed and laughed at all her funny/silly expressions.

Afterwards, I kept coming back to this one, thinking, "Imagine if....." Yep - it became the the inspiration for my painting.  :)
