Anyone doing therapy in the Atlanta area? Timbow is in training and we're trying to decide whether we want to be certified through the Delta Society or the local Happy Tails. Any advice?

I live in Gainesville, Florida permanently but we have a mountain house in Ellijay, GA so I joined the Atlanta doodle group. My doodle, Miss Rackley, and I are certified through Pet Therapy Inc. Their website is www.therapydogs.com. I LOVE the organization and they are nationwide. The person who certified me used to work with Happy Tails in Atlanta. Happy Tails is not nationwide and not all places recognize them. You can go anywhere you would like if you certifiy with Pet Therapy INC. We go to nursing homes, assisted living facilities and centers for developmentally delayed young adults and Alzheimer patients. WE LOVE IT !! Any questions feel free to email me: [e-mail]

Thanks, this is good to know. Both Judi and I are training our doods with Atlanta dog trainer and we both have been talking back and forth between Delta Society and Happy Tails.

I thought maybe we could get some good recommendations on here that could make our decision easier. I'm kind of leaning forward to a national group. :-)
