What Type of Doodle(s) do you have? What are their names? Tell us about your doodle(s) or any other pets you have!
We have two goldendoodles, Bella and Rackley. We also have a welsh corgi,Knuckles. Bella lives with my youngest son in his apartment. She is very sweet and adores balls. She will sit for hours and let me groom her. Bella was 2 years old in March 2008. She and my son share the same birthday. Rackley adores romping with Bella when they get together. She is very good at obedience.
Where did you get your doodle(s)?
Breeder
Why did you choose a doodle rather than another breed or mix?
We inherited/adopted Bella at age 8 weeks from one of my husband's partners who could not care for her as a single guy. We fell in love with her. She was super easy to train and learned to ring her bells to go out to potty. When my son found out that she had the same birthday as his he determined she was HIS dog. Then I asked my husband for another doodle for ME and we got Rackley from Moss Creek Doodles in Florida. She is a love !!!
What are Your Favorite Things to Do With Your Doodles?
Bella loves to play ball. Rackley loves to go for walks in our neighborhood. We also have a house in the mountains of GA and she loves to run and romp in that area .. there are NO cars around at all. Bella loves to go anywhere in the car but Rackley gets car sick.
Does your doodle(s) shed?
Nope!
Who grooms your doodle(s)?
A mobile groomer who comes to our house.
Favorite Doodle Products?
We love Buddy Wash,Rinse and Spray because it smells so wonderful.
Hi Cathy! Are you in Elijay or Gainsville right now? We're having a couple doodle get togethers coming up soon! Just wanted to make sure you knew about them! :) March 7 is an informal get together at a park in Cobb County and April 18 is the romp around the world doodle romp in Snellville, GA. :)
Well Go Gators! We were really sad after the game on Saturday--would've loved to see Tebow go out on top, but he will do amazing things with his life either way. I have heard great things about Moss Creek Doodles and briefly looked into them when we were looking for Timbow. I'm originally from Tampa, my husband from Ft Lauderdale, our families still live there so we're down visiting a lot and thought about finding a dog from a breeder close by. Your doodles are both beautiful! I am glad to hear you enjoy therapy! I am really looking forward to it! Did you say that you normally go to nursing homes? I can imagine the residents would really enjoy seeing your doods. How much training did you do before you were certified? Did you focus on any specific training techniques?
I have to ask if you're gator fans? My husband is Florida alumni and our doodle Timbow is named after Tim Tebow. Thanks for the great therapy advice! I'm going to look at the website tonight. We still need to finish some more training classes, but I wanted to have an idea of who we want to sign up with early so I can know what I need to work on specifically. We would like to work with kids (Timbow is great with them), but we will see once we get to that point. Hope you're having a good week!

That was so funny as I had posted here right before I left to pick Piper up! Dee usually does Piper herself, but the other groomer did her today as Dee had to leave to pick up a child at school.
I have been very happy there and Piper goes ever 4 weeks. I will say it is not cheap, so make sure you ask the price before you leave her the first time. Dee was the first groomer to cut Piper short for me; the previously groomer would not do it. I don't know why, but Piper needs frequent grooming, otherwise she looks like a dirtball.
Yes, I did call them today. I think I may drive down and take Miss Rackley one day and visit my mom in Sandy Springs. So you are pleased with them?? I had my other doodle done here in Ellijay and that was a DISASTER... she ends up with a huge burn on her belly AND an infection in it.

Cathy,
Did you call Dee's Grooming Gallery today? I was picking Piper up and they said a woman from Ellijay called. I think Emily was sending you a picture of Piper after today's grooming. Her bangs were cut a little shorter that normal, but they grow so fast that I don't care. I also keep Piper on the shorter side as I am not good about brushing her like I should. She also hikes, so the shorter cut does better for us.
Just noticed, We rented a cabin in Cherry Log, outside of Ellijay in July, of course it had to have a fenced yard for Lexi. Wish we knew you were there! We live in Fort Lauderdale, look us up if you come south.

I suggest the small size $8.88 plus shipping. (Thats where they get you) We love it!
To find a program like the one Nick and Karan are involved in look up "R.E.A.D." -- the national programs usually require a dog to already have been registered/certified as a therapy dog.
