This is becoming such a great monthly romp and now that we are at Rick's again for this month, I am even more excited. The Dog Parks are okay and better than nothing, but Rick's is so much more friendly and feels safer for our dogs. We're all sure that they aren't going to catch some horrible virus, or have to tromp around some other dogs doo-doo, or be attacked by someone's pack or unruly dogs. Plus, we can all bring food and enjoy eachother's company. What more can you ask for?

As posted before, Rick's address is 910 N. Loma Vista, in Mesa. His Phone number is 480-201-1438.
My phone # is 561-662-3495.

We will have a pot-luck lunch, so please bring a dish to share. We will need some entree type foods like some form of meat or chicken dish if anyone has a good one. I maybe able to recruit my hubby into cooking if Rick will let Bob take over his grill for the morning. Sign up for something to bring on here and everyone can see what the other is bringing.

Hope to hear from all of you soon,
Sue and Murphy ;o)

Just out of curiosity...how do all the dogs behave with so much food around? Last time I didn't attend because Teddy is on Prednisone for life which causes him to be "always" hungry...so trying to keep him from begging is impossible. I just wondered if food caused any issues?
Good question. And other than the hotdog that fell on the floor, there was no problems that I was aware of. They wanted to hang around their owners when they were eating, but it was very calm and controlled. For the most part they are so happy to be with their pals that they kept playing. I do feed my dog people food but when I tell him "no-more" or throw a ball, he just leaves. We don't allow begging either.

It's no different than eating at home with your dog there. I think you won't know till you give it a try. He might surprise you.
Our Jan 9th Romp is shaping up. We have 3 yummy dishes coming so far and we can use some paper goods, plastic wear, Soda's, verggies or fruit , bread. Nothing fancy. Can anyone sign up for any of those items? I am making the liver treats for the dogs again and will leave out the corn meal so there are no issues with dogs with sensitivities. Please be sure to take your doggie bag before leaving.
Just email me with your ideas. smenegay@yahoo.com
thanks and I;ll keep you posted.

I am happy to bring whatever I can. How about if I bring the paper goods, plastic wear and soda? I'm good at anything I don't have to cook. My son took over the cooking when he was 9 and threw me out of the kitchen. :)
Haha. I like your son!!!! Izzy is bringing cups and sodas like last time. How about paper plates and plastic ware, and/or some sliced french bread to go with the meatballs? Or a veggie plater with dip? How's that sound?
Sorry what time is this romp at again?
10:00 am !!! :)
