I'm in Buffalo Grove, and I have a groomer I've used for over 10 years, with both my miniature poodle and now with Jack. She is one of the few who can and will do hand-scissoring, which I insisted upon with my poodle. Jack's allergies require special care, such as leaving his shampoo on for at least 10 minutes before rinsing, and the use of a cool dryer setting, and she has been happy to accomodate me on all requests.
Her name is Wei Ling, and her shop is in a doggie daycare facility. Doggie Playhouse 1900 N. Rand Road Palatine IL

My back-up groomer is at the shop where Wei Ling worked until recently, and she is very good as well. Kelly @ The Dog Barber 1349 W. Dundee Road Buffalo Grove IL 847-342-0551
Prices are very reasonable, and when Jack has to be bathed weekly during his worst times of year, they work me on the pricing.
can you post current pictures of your doodle... I am a PIA when it comes to how I will allow my dogs to be groomed and I NEVER allow them to be shave, puppy cuts or poodle do's... : ) I have 2 guardian dogs that live up there and want to make sure they are well groomed.
I can, but it won't do you much good, because he's an F1 who sheds and has a coat like a golden retriever...he never ever gets cut or even trimmed, just a bath, nails, etc.
My poodle was never shaved, and I did not allow them to use clippers on her, only hand-scissored. But unfortunately, I have no digital photos of her.
