Does your doodle like to be held like a big baby?

Since Fenway was little she always liked to be picked up and held. Lee and I would of course accommodate her and when we did she would sit in our arms like a human baby. She still does this to this day and Lee and I really have not thought anything about it. Well when we were at Lee's Dad's for the holidays he saw us pick Fenway up and hold her and he couldn't believe how she just sat in our arms like a baby. He said he had never seen any other dog do this. Sometimes she even puts her arms around your neck. Does anyone elses doodle like to be held like a baby?

How cute! I think I used to hold Oski like that when he was a baby but then he grew so fast that we can only let him sit across both our laps at this point--he's pretty heavy at 70+ lbs! He didn't seem to mind being sat up in our laps when he was smaller tho:

That's so cute! Fenway sits just like that but she's probably pretty close to as big as she's going to get at 30ish pounds.

Ok I get it! Your dog is a bunch smaller than Tia! hahaha Tia still loves to be held but we have to be on the bed or on the floor now days. She weighs 82 lbs!!! She put on 13 lbs the first two weeks we had her and holding her on our lap ended a long time ago. However she still tries to climb in the chair with me while I watch TV! hahaha

I am laughing so hard right now! This is one of the things that Gaston CRAVES! He'll even want to be "rocked/bounced" like a baby and puts his head on your shoulder and "sighs" before he shuts his eyes to go to sleep! My husband is concerned what he's going to want to do when he gets bigger! He's 18 weeks now and looks and acts like an orangutan in our arms! Ironically though as much as he loves to be held he's not a snuggler on the couch! Go figure!

Those pictures are so cute! Fenway is just like that still. She's only 30lbs and I don't know how much bigger she'll get, but I hope never too big to pick up like that! She even wraps her little paws around my neck just like Gaston does in your pictures.

Isn't it the best feeling Kelli? Gaston is well over 30 lbs and we expect him to keep growing. (mom was a standard) I hope it never ends! What's so cute is that no matter how much he has the "zoomies", the minute I pick him up and hold him with the rocking he just calms right down, gives a big sigh and snuggles into our necks. DH thinks I'm just craving grandchildren! (As our daughter is only 17 I tell him absolutely NOT!! LOL)

oh you are sooo lucky to have him wrap up and love you up like that! If anyone ever had a question about a perfect dog, you should submit this photo, who could turn down a face like that. We just a a new doodle from the pound, and she loves to be held too. A little too heavy to do that, but she can lie on you sideways and craves attention. Our other one is hyper and only likes to cuddle when she is exhausted. Enjoy your snuggly doodle!

We havn'et been able to do that in a LONG time. Samantha is 63 lbs. She used to love to snuggle in our laps but now it is on the sofa with us.

Eddie LOVES to be held like that. My friends mock me, so I'm so glad other doodles are the same way!
