...like to have the upper paw?

Gavin has a curious behaviour that he often does with both my DH and me.  When he sits beside us (think heel position) either on leash or off, he will often put his right paw on top of our left foot and just sit there like that.  Not sure if this really means anything.  He dosen't make any eye contact or anything when he does it.  He just chills. Really its kinda cute, like he's holding hands.  Anyone else?

Yes, Gracie Doodle does it but it is usually when we are standing. She will lean up against me and stand on one of my feet! I think she LOVES me!!!

No... but he does actually want me to "hold his hand". When we are cuddling, he will put his paw into my hand, and wants me to hold it. If I don't, he continuously presses his paw onto my hand until I do. It's strange, but so cute!

That sounds so cute, but no, Lilly dosen't do that either.
