We have been clipping Myla for two years with the Andis clippers and the only part I'm not happy with is her face - it always looks too chopped.  Weirdly, she is fine with the clippers on her face, but if I try the scissors, she won't stay still and moves around too much for me to be comfortable with.  I was wondering if anyone has used the blending blade on their Andis clippers and if so, how did it do?  Or is their another blending tool that is recommended?

Sorry, no experience with the blending blade. When I scissor Tara's face I have to use the leash on the grooming table to keep her from moving too much.  Could you use blunt nose scissors?

That's what I have, but as soon as she sees the scissors in my hand she softly whines, squirms and won't hold still. I have the same problem if I try to cut out a burr on her paws after a walk sometimes.  I really believe that she was traumatized at the groomers somehow when she went as a puppy, because that was the only place that she did not want to go to afterwards.  That is the main reason we decided to try grooming her ourselves.  I am really happy we bought the Andi's clippers (on the advice of DK'ers) but I was hoping someone had experience with the blending blade before spending $65. on them.

It sure sounds like she had some kind of bad experience involving grooming.  Poor baby.

Do you have a local Petsmart? Ours has been good about taking returns on grooming items.

I didn't know that - thanks!  I will see what they will do!
