Oddly enough, I have discovered that the combs, which are the hard plastic or metal, do not work well with my Andis clippers. They catch constantly on the coat. Whereas, the cheaper combs, are a more flexible plastic and they come with the cheaper Andis Professional clipper! These work great!! However, you cannot buy them separately...at least not that I have found.

So, this is my shout-out....Does any one have a set of those cheap plastic combs that came with their Andis clipper that they would like to get rid of, because I would happily pay for them! It would solve my problem completely!!

Is it possible that you are using a longer length clipper blade for the attachments.  I have just recently learned that only the short blades work with the attachments.  I use plastic combs all the time with my Andis clipper, but only with the "10 and 30 blades.  They don't work as well with the longer blades for me.

I am using a #10 blade. I am wondering if it snags so easily because he has a very thick wool undercoat, so that may be why it snags so easily.

Has anyone tried the new 3/4" Andis blade?

I don't know if anyone else has used the Andis 4 FC blade but I love it.  It leaves the coat about 1/2 inch long and so

far it seems smooth and clean cutting, however, my dogs coats are easy to work with.  I do recommend reading all you can in the grooming section, especially about the need to comb through the coat before trying to clip it.  It really does

help, if the comb can't go through the hair a clipper blade will certainly have a difficult time.

They seem to have quite a variety posted on their website. Do any of those look familiar?
