Please help me find the correct clipper guards for my Andis UltraEdge Clippers.
I need to leave my doodle's fur about 1 inch long. A link to the correct guard would be great!
Thanks!
Go this this website and click on what it is you are looking for. I just came from the groomers two days ago and she said to use a #15 or #40 blade with a 1"comb for 1" length hair. I had been using a #10 blade/1" comb and she said that using the other size blade would make the job easier. Basically, I understand it that the size of the COMB is what really counts to get the correct length. Good Luck!
Try this website. I just went to the groomers a few days ago and she said to use a #15 or #40 blade with a 1" comb if you want to have your Doodle's hair to be 1" . I had been using a #10 blade and 1" comb for the same result but it would get caught up. I guess the other blades make going through the hair easier???? I think the COMB is the determining factor on length. USE A 1" COMB.
It is important to know what type of coat your doodle has before choosing the equipment needed. Can you tell me more about the age of you dog and coat type?
I purchased my clippers the same as you have along with the blades and combs from petedge.com theywere very helpful. I also purchased some of their fresh scent pet shampoo and conditioner, it works great you only use a little bit and Molly smells good for at least 1 1/2 weeks. I bought the small bottle and have washed our 2 labs twice and Molly about 7 or 8 times and still have 1/4 a bottle left. It's Great!!
