I know I have read somewhere on here some advice on how to keep the beards/chins clean. However, I have looked and can't locate it. Can anyone offer advice? My 5 month old Kenzie always has a dirty looking chin. Is there something aside from normal wiping off that I can do to keep it from staining? Thanks!

Under Doodle Grooming discussions go to the 4th page and you will find "Chin Hair Discoloration"...I think that is the discussion you saw once.
Thank you, that was just what I was looking for!
Staining is usually caused by protein. Hard to avoid. Diet can have a lot to do with it. The normal grooming style for labradoodles is a short chin. I trim along the lips as well so no hair can curl into the mouth. there are stain removers, but the best one I ever saw was the clay dirt at my friend's house. Her doodle had a stained face, played in the clay and the next day played in the sprinkler. Poof...no more staining.
I told you, Barb...I need the clay...lol! You have to package that stuff!
Yes, please do!! I will buy a truckload of it!! ;)
I have clay dirt. I wonder if it will work with Kenzie. So far she has only found the soft, garden dirt to roll and dg in!
